Road conditions: The notoriously difficult road conditions between Poipet and Siem Reap have greatly improved. Now from Poipet to Sisophon it takes 90 min for 51 km road. Even on the portion between Sisophon and Bantey Chmar the condition of the red soil road has improved. Then from Banteay Chhmar to Samrong it takes about 1h30. The road is unpaved and can be bumpy on some portions, especially after the rainy season. The road to Koh Kong is partly bumpy and unpaved. From Anlong Veng to Preah Vihear, the access to the temple can only be done by 4WD.
